What is the best time to visit India?The best time to visit depends on the region and your interests, but generally, October to March offers pleasant weather across most parts of the country.

What vaccinations or health precautions should I take?Recommended vaccinations may include hepatitis A, typhoid, tetanus, and in some cases, malaria prophylaxis. It's best to consult your doctor 4–6 weeks before your trip. We can also suggest some probiotics that have worked for us in the past.

Do I need a visa to travel to India?Yes, most foreign nationals require a visa to enter India. Tourist e-Visas are available online for many countries and can be obtained easily before travel. We will be on hand to support you with any information you require to submit your visa.

What kind of clothing should I pack?Lightweight, breathable clothing is ideal for most of India. Modest dress is appreciated, especially in rural areas and religious sites. A light jacket may be needed in cooler regions or during winter. We will provide a full itinerary depending on where we go, and what we plan to do!

Are there any cultural customs I should be aware of?Yes—removing shoes before entering homes or temples, dressing modestly, and showing respect to elders are appreciated cultural practices. When in doubt, observing and asking is always welcome.

Will I get sick?We can't promise not, but we will do our very best to try not to. We will provide bottled water and take you to restaurants/food outlets that are clean/safe. We will also acclimatise to foods slowly to ensure you dont get the infamous Delhi Belly

Can I drink tap water in India?It’s recommended to drink bottled or filtered water. Avoid ice in drinks and raw foods washed in tap water when possible.

Is tipping expected in India?Tipping is customary in India for guides, drivers, hotel staff, and restaurant servers. The amount can vary but is generally modest. But don't worry, we will do all the tipping for you so you don't have to worry. We will explain what it means to the individual (and their family) as we go through the trip.
